Upcoming ITVA-DC Peer Awards Ceremony
Washington, D.C. –-On Friday, Sept. 19, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. theInternational Television Association’s DC chapter (ITVA-DC) willlight up the night with the annual Peer Awards. The largest industryevent for media professionals by media professionals will celebrate thefilm and video achievements of their colleagues in the region at theesteemed National Press Club.
Newly elected President of ITVA-DC, Jeffrey “J.G.”Gonsalves of V! Studios promises the evening will trump all other PeerAward ceremonies.
“ITVA-DC takes pride in challenging itself to not only meetcertain standards year-to-year on its events, but strives diligently toexceed them. This year the team working on the Peer Awards ceremony hascertainly done that.”
Adding to this year’s excitement is World Wide TV who willinterview each Peer Award recipient. Like backstage press interviewsfollowing the Golden Globes and Oscars, World Wide TV will conduct theinterviews, archive the footage and allow Peer Award winners to link tothe footage for use on their respective websites.
An industry highlight of the event, however, will be the recognitionthree of Washington, D.C.’s legendary production pioneers. TomAngell, Rob Henniger and Fritz Roland will all be honored withITVA-DC’s 2003 Distinguished Achievement Award. These productionsuperstars of Interface Media Group, Henniger Media Services andRoland
House respectively helped to shape and define nearly four decades offilm and video productions in the government, corporate, political andbroadcast arenas. Their stellar contributions to this region’sproduction industry are numerous and will be applauded for their impactand influence
