The New York International Latino Film Festival

The New York International Latino Film Festival is a premiere filmfestival presenting the works of Latino artists and people of LatinAmerican descent. The festival braids together Latinos in Hollywood andindependent film industry, along with aficionados and students of filmand the arts. This year's festival will take place from July 22 to27.

There is a growing number of Latinos in the film industry fromactors and writers to directors and producers. Film continues to be oneof the most popular ways in which ideas and images are communicated toa vast audience. As Latinos rise to positions to power in the industry,we create our own images and affect the way in which Latinos areportrayed by the industry.
