Hitachi and Link Research Agree to Work Together on Development and Distribution of Wireless TV Camera Systems

Hitachi Denshi Europa GmbH, Hitachi Kokusai Electric Incorporated ofJapan and Link Research Ltd have reached an agreement to work togetherfor the development and supply of broadcast equipment.

Hitachi Denshi Europa and Hitachi Kokusai Electric will supplyLink's products including the LinkXP wireless camera system throughoutAsia and Africa. Initially, Link will supply twenty LinkXP wirelesscamera systems to Hitachi.

In addition to distribution, Link Research and Hitachi will developspecific products for Hitachi Denshi, the broadcast systems division ofHitachi in EMEA, making Hitachi the first camera manufacturer to offera truly wireless broadcast camera.

The LinkXP system, can be attached to any TV camera to givetransmission without wires, up to several hundred metres away from anOB vehicle, delivering superb performance even withoutline-of-sight.

As well as working with wireless camera technology, Hitachi hasagreed to market other products from Link's broadcast range in Asia.With 65% of the Asian market for microwave links, Hitachi willimmediately become a prime distributor for Link's broadcastdistribution products such as the popular L1000 low-delay encoder /modulator.

Hitachi will provide a complete support and repair service forLink's products throughout Asia and Africa.
