Wireless Camera Systems Manufacturer Link Research opens an office in L.A.

Link Research Limited, the UK’s leading manufacturer ofdigital wireless camera systems, is opening its own sales office in theUSA, close to the heart of America’s TV and film industry in LosAngeles.

Link Research won the prestigious Peter Wayne Award for its LinkXPdigital wireless camera system in 2002. Since then, sales of the LinkXPsystems have reached the hundreds, mainly to European broadcasters butwith systems also being sold to TV companies in Australia, Asia andSouth America.

“The uptake of wireless camera systems is currently the onemajor change taking place in the field of live news and sportsbroadcasting. We are excited about the possibility of working withAmerican broadcasters as they change over to these new systems”,says Newlin Warden, Director of Link Research Inc.

“With hundreds of TV broadcasters in the USA, and existingwireless camera system suppliers concentrating on the rental market,the market is wide open and we decided that we should be the firstmanufacturer of digital wireless camera systems to open a sales officein the States”, says Len Mann, Managing Director of LinkResearch.

Link Research will be showing two new wireless camera systems at NAB2004. The LinkXPRV comes with reverse video, a feature that many usershad been asking for. There is also the LinkXPe, the company’sfirst low-cost wireless camera system, which is designed fornon-broadcast applications.
