MASTERSFX Expands to Vancouver

Hollywood, CA. – MASTERSFX, Inc., currently celebrating its15th Anniversary as one of Hollywood’s leading special effectshouses specializing in prosthetic, animatronic and character effectsartistry for major motion pictures and television programs, recentlyannounced several significant company activities, including anexpansion into the city of Vancouver, according to company founder ToddMasters.

Masters says that MASTERSFX opened its new Vancouver facility inorder to better service a growth in film and TV projects being producedin Western Canada.

"Vancouver was the next logical expansion for us, since there arevery, very few highly specialized special effects houses located therewith the proven Hollywood production expertise we have to offer," saysMasters. "Since Canada offers producers significant cost-savings onproduction, I felt the time was right to set up a permanent base there,to better handle the increased need for our area of effectswork.”

In addition, the company also announced it would continue, for asecond season, to create “morgue” sequence special effectsfor HBO's dark comedy/drama, "Six Feet Under." For that show’sfirst season, MASTERSFX produced full nude dummy bodies/corpses,prosthetic body parts, severed limbs, and duplicate dummy heads (tomatch the heads of “living actors” interacting with their“dead” selves.)

MASTERSFX has also signed up for a second season of creatingprosthetic effects for the WB TV series, "Charmed."
