SCRI Report: DTV Video Encoding Increases

NEW YORK (Oct. 10, 2001) -- SCRI International announced more results of SCRI’s DTV Migration Survey of US TV, which shows that DTV Video Encoding is taking off among US TV stations. According to SCRI's recent survey of US TV Stations, just over three in ten stations (31.9%) have already converted to DTV video encoding. The next two years (2001 -- 2002) will see more than half of all stations (51.4%) convert for an installed base of 83.3%.
