Aspen Filmfest to Celebrate 25th Edition, Announces Call for Entries

Aspen, CO---The 25th anniversary edition of Aspen Filmfest ispleased to announce a call for entries for documentaries and featuresfor its invitational non-competitive fall festival. Qualifying filmsover 40 minutes in length completed since September 2002 are encouragedto submit. The deadline for entries is July 1, 2003. With its emphasis on independent films, Aspen Filmfest is a highlypopular and vibrant five-day event showcasing new films, filmmakers, atribute and retrospective, film education opportunities for youth andadults, and more. Taking place Sept. 30 ­through Oct. 5, 2003 atthe historic Wheeler Opera House in Aspen and other venues throughoutthe Roaring Fork Valley, Aspen Filmfest is considered the fall party ofthis renowned silver mining town. An enthusiastic crowd of locals,second-home owners and visitors enjoying the autumn splendor of theColorado Rocky Mountains attend the festival.
