CHIEF BROADCAST ENGINEER - GA (TV)

Fox Sports Net South is currently recruiting a ChiefBroadcast Engineer. This position is located in Atlanta, GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitate the technical production and transmission oflive/taped programs and events.
Provide technical/engineering leadership & support to localprogramming department.
Diagnose & correct technical problems, solve them witheffective and timely alternatives and document/recommend correctiveactions.
Provide technical assistance to OAP operation.
Communicate effectively with Corporate Engineering and HoustonMaster Control Insures FSN RM is complying with corporate SOPpolicies.
Train FSN RM personnel in-house routing systems, transmissions,feeds.
Assist Local Programming Manager with projects, documentationand plans, and facilities improvements as directed.
Provide expertise, guidance & supervision in all areas oftechnical setup in control room, studio and remotes.
Schedule & Supervise engineering personnel.
Schedule Maintenance windows & delegate Maintenanceincluding repairs, equipment replacement, cleaning, supplies,etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

5 years experience in studio operations required.
AS degree or equivalent in electronics or broadcast engineeringpreferred.
Flexible hours/schedule and weekend shifts will berequired.
Strong analytical/communicative skills necessary.
Must be knowledgeable in all areas of technical production, andfamiliar with all production equipment.
Must update skills and knowledge to keep pace with changingtechnology.
Knowledge of all transmission (DS-3/PLN, fiber, satellite,microwave) & RF/MATV equipment required.
Knowledge of all software programs for computers in houseincluding ENPS & iNews required.
