The Mill New York Launches Telecine in New Broadway Home
The Mill, New York is set to launch an in-house telecine service. The decision coincides with the company's move to a new SoHo base designed to accommodate recent expansion. The Mill's new Spirit Datacine suite will be headed by Fergus McCall, joint head of Telecine at The Mill's London office.
The Mill, New York opened just under two-years ago. After a quiet launch with a small team led by executive producer, Alistair Thompson, and lead Flame artist, Angus Kneale, the company's stateside operation has expanded extremely quickly. It has developed an enviable client roster, spanning, amongst others, Michel Gondry, Fredrik Bond, Fallon and Crispin Porter.
In line with The Mill's development into a leading New York facility it is introducing telecine services into its remit to expand client choice.
The Mill NY's original base in @Radical Media's Outpost Digital has long since been out-grown. The Mill NY is moving on to a loft-style, specially-refurbished SoHo space at 451 Broadway (corner of Grand Street). The new office will house four Flame suites, one Spirit suite and 9 CG workstations, with room set aside for further growth.
