Last fall Huge Systems introduced its SanStream familyof shared RAID storage arrays. Housed in a 2 RU form, SanStreamincludes all the necessary pieces of the SAN puzzle, including aGigabit Ethernet switch, file-sharing software, and storage via fivehot-swappable disk drives. Two versions are available: the12-720 includes a 12-port GigE switch and 720GB of RAID storage,and the 6-480 comes with a six-port switch and stores 480GB. Iffacilities need to attach more than 12 clients, external GigE switchescan be attached.
