Recently, Panasonic shipped a pair of new single-chip DLP projectors that would be perfect for screening applications and conference rooms. The PT-D5600U is slightly brighter, but the WXGA-resolution (1280×768 pixels) PT-DW5000U is widescreen for native display of 720p material. It's rated at a very respectable 4500 lumens of brightness and 2000:1 contrast. The DW5000 features dual lamps and Panasonic's Vivid Color Control technology for 3D color management.
