The new STA100 stereo adapter turns Zaxcom's TRX900/TRX900AA wireless transmitters and the ZFR100 solid-state audio recorder into 2-channel devices. Zaxcom claims that by providing two balanced audio inputs, the STA100 eliminates ground-loop problems that are typically encountered when using wireless transmitters in sound-bag configurations. The 2oz. device has a TA5 male input, typically for lavalier mics, and a 3.5mm stereo output. As a dual-channel system with the STA100, the receiver has an instant sound-bag-to-camera link. There's also a dedicated timecode input for syncing the camera to the internal TC generator of the TRX900 or ZFR100.
