Improving on the 560B's fluid-head video monopod design, Manfrotto's 561B is taller (up to 79.53in.), sturdier, and more robust, making it ideal for handheld cameras. It keeps the 560B's three pivoting, retractable feet, which put this monopod in a different class than the ones you might be familiar with. Sold as a kit, the new 561B comes with a modified 701RC2 video head, offering shooters smooth tilts of +/-90 degrees. All panning action is controlled by the fluid cartridge at the base of the monopod. With the modified 701RC2 head in place, the 561B weighs approximately 4.38lbs. and can support a maximum payload of 8.8lbs.—twice that of its smaller sibling. The 561B retains the best features of the 560B, including a fluid cartridge and the retractable feet.
