Interactivity is one of the reasons for the Samsung and Reactrix Systems joint venture WaveScape, which joins Samsung LCD digital-signage displays with Reactrix interactive technology. Designed for Samsung's large-format-display 570DX products, the angle here is that display content can change as the public (hotels are being targeted initially) moves anywhere from around 15ft. away up to the screen itself. Both a person's position and any gestures will be recognized, which enables the system to deliver different levels of interaction based on proximity to the display.
