With 3D films creating buzz in theatrical releases, it's no stretch to see it turn up in digital signage. At InfoComm 08, Philips introduced a 52in. 3D display positioned for use in digital signage, pro AV, and entertainment. Described as an auto-stereoscopic display — the company's WOWvx technology means it doesn't require glasses — the display is based on a full HD (1920×1080) LCD panel with a competitive brightness rating (700cd/m2), 2000:1 contrast ratio, and an 8-millisecond response time.
