Microsoft continues to push corporate buy-in for its .NET technology, a network application aimed at providing the framework to build all manner of advanced business operations. Xytech says it worked with Microsoft engineers to build its new MediaPulse media-operations software suite entirely around the middleware technology; with a debut at IBC 2008, the new app handles business workflow, resource scheduling, media-library management, and digital-workflow automation. With claimed benefits including faster deployment and lower total cost of ownership, MediaPulse modules now offer new browser-like library search, improved ordering and scheduling, and the ability to configure application screens and workflows.
