Litepanels MicroPro
LEDs saw their first production use as on-camera light fixtures, with their low heat, low power draw, and light weight as obvious advantages.
At NAB Show 2009, one of the leading manufacturers, Van Nuys, Calif.-based Litepanels, introduced the MicroPro—a new version of its popular Litepanels Micro—with doubled light output as well as a broader beam spread. With its $474 street price, it comes in about $200 more than the original model, which is still available. The MicroPro is a bit wider and heavier than the original, but still manageable.
