1 Beyond Wrangler
With more tapeless camera and camcorder systems going on location, figuring out an all-in-one method to back up the profusion of solid-state formats is becoming critical.
1 Beyond offers a solution with its Wrangler portable ingest, editing, and playback system for tapeless file-based workflows. The Wrangler, which debuted at NAB Show 2009, can handle P2, Red, Sony SxS, Grass Valley Rev Pro, and JVC formats. The device offers enough slots to take up to four tapeless memory cards at a time while backing up to two removable drives with no user intervention, according to the company. The luggable, all-in-one device also includes a built-in screen and is available in a battery-powered version.
