As DVD authoring packages build in more features, tool management
becomes key. Ulead Systems says it answers that concern with
DVD Workshop 2, which the company says delivers a more intuitive
workflow via its built-in creative design toolsets. The new version
sports features such as eight multiple audio and 32 subtitle tracks for
creating DVDs with different languages, music tracks, commentaries,
subtitles, programming, and other options. Users can also preview
motion menus and chapter thumbnails in realtime without rendering. Want
to replicate DVD titles? Do it with DVD Workshop 2's support for
Digital Linear Tape (DLT), along with support for dual layer DVDs
(DVD-9), which handle double the typical DVD capacity. This new version
also offers copyright protection with support for Macrovision and CSS
formats.
