NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display Solutions launched the NEC MultiSync LCD1980FXi 19in. display for the pro market, such as financial, creative, and engineering industries. In particular, the company cites the 12mm narrow bezel frame that increases available desk space and simplifies the multi-monitor arrangements common among these users as a particular advantage. The LCD1980FXi also offers AmbiBright technology to automatically adjust the backlight of the display to compensate for changing lighting conditions.

The LCD1980FXi offers viewing angles up to 178 degrees and a Tile Matrix feature for videowall applications. The GammaComp internal circuitry automatically converts 8-bit data from the PC to 10-bit and back to 8-bit.
