NuVision announces the availability of its Deep Black LCD televisions, the company's entrance into the LCD TV market. The initial models will be 16:9 widescreen in 23in., 26in., 32in., and 37in. screen sizes. A 45in. model is planned for the second quarter of 2005. The displays feature the company's proprietary NiDO (NuVision Intelligent Digital Optimization); a 1000:1 contrast ratio for the 26in. and 32in. models and 800:1 for the 23in., 37in., and 45in. models; and the NuControl bi-directional RS232 with polling. In addition, they offer a 10ms response time, 500cd/m² brightness, 1366×768 native resolution, DVI with HDCP, and discrete IR control with IR direct input jack.
