Display Tools Visual Circuits and Focus Enhancements
Uses Linux-based OS. Price: $1,995
What's the solution to feed digital signs and monitors — ones that might be widely dispersed across a campus or business — without the cost and upkeep of a server? One solution comes from Visual Circuits and Focus Enhancements. While you'll still need a computer to create the presentations (you can mix text, MPEG clips, audio, and stills), the Firefly MZ playback unit functions on its own to feed a monitor after the data is loaded. You can distribute that content to the Firefly MZ via Ethernet network, DVD, or even satellite. The included Media Messenger software makes for TV news-style presentations, including lower thirds and streaming data. Other features include USB, RS-232, Ethernet input, and component, composite, DVI, and S-Video output.
