Samsung replaces its SyncMaster 241mp with a new model for all-in-one display. The SyncMaster 242mp 24in. LCD computer monitor comes with a built-in tuner and a video monitor that displays composite video, S-Video, and component video for a DVD player, VCR, camcorder, or security camera and offers analog RGB and CVBS video input. The monitor is HDTV-ready and features analog and digital inputs for a computer interface and 16:10 wide format aspect ratio. Other features include a 1920×1200 native resolution, 178-degree viewing angle, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a brightness rate of 500cd/m2.

According to the company, its MagicSpeed technology gives the monitor a 16ms response time; almost twice as fast as traditional LCD monitors. The SyncMaster 242mp also includes MagicColor II, an intelligent color enhancement that, according to the company, enhances color quality while preserving natural skin tones.
