Digital Vision Introduces Time-based Software License for DVNR Image Processing System

Digital Vision, a leading developer of advanced digital media applications specializing in film and video solutions, announced a new time-based licensing software option for its highly regarded image processing system, the DVNR. The company introduced the new licensing option to help production companies maximise the benefits of the DVNR within the scope of particular project budgets.

With time-based licensing, production companies can match their licensing costs to their project income. Under the agreement, customers purchase the Digital Vision hardware, which starts with an entry-level SD box, and then license the DVNR software for the length of time required as dictated by the project schedule. Licenses are available in SD, HD, and 2K formats ranging from one week up to a year.

Software licensing functionality includes:

  • AGR4 ME—adaptive film grain and video noise reducer enhanced with Digital Vision''s motion estimation technology
  • ASC3 ME—advanced dust, dirt, and random scratch concealer with motion estimation
  • ZOM—aspect ratio converter and pan & scan processor (SD and HD)
  • ACP—color correction processor (SD and HD)

Award winning post-production house The Farm, which is based in London, will be the first adopter of this new approach. The Farm offers facilities from high-definition post-production for feature films and television, digital post-production for television, commercials, music promos, and DVD encoding.

Robert Ekström, President of Digital Vision says, “The DVNR is a highly regarded restoration product in the image enhancement market, and by making time-based licensing available, we''re helping facilities to bring outstanding quality to projects of any size and budget.”

Digital Vision has upgrade programs available for customers who already have DVNR systems. Contact Digital Vision for more information.
