Teranex ClearVue CV24
Silicon Optix says that its ClearVue CV24 box can be coupled with a standard, no-frills LCD display in order to calibrate its color correctly, thereby forming a reference monitoring system for post. (At NAB, the company was showing the ClearVue operating with a $700 Gateway monitor.) Essentially, it modifies the look-up table of the display to make up for its fluorescent backlight, which tends to deviate from the necessary
6500-degrees-K color temperature. Silicon Optix claims adequate performance even at light levels below 25 percent. Teranex''s lauded HQV technology is incorporated to upscale 480i and to de-interlace 1080i.
