Using a computer's standard DVI output for digital signage makes sense because it employs the computer's ability to create graphics, text, and video, as well as taking advantage of the high quality and low cost of today's digital graphics cards, but DVI signals are difficult to distribute. Intelix offers a useful approach with its DIGI-DVIT4R-F DVI transmitter, which transmits DVI video from a single source to four remote destinations over twisted-pair cabling. The device can transmit HD resolution (1920×1080) DVI-D signals up to 220ft. over a single shielded Cat-6 cable. The send balun also features a local monitor output for local viewing or daisy chaining.
