Getting the attention of passersby in a media-clogged world is a challenge. With Screen Xtreme, GestureTek offers one way to make them look. It uses a camera to track the area near a display, allowing anyone walking by to watch themselves on the screen and manipulate any graphics that surround them simply by moving their hands and body. The camera and gesture-recognition technology can plug into existing digital signage systems, or the system works as a turnkey standalone unit. A feed from the video camera can even be used to measure the number of interactions and deliver other user metrics.
