Today's plethora of software tools would make an earlier generation of filmmakers swoon, but actually figuring out which apps to use and how to apply them is enough to cause the current generation of creators headaches. This past December, Red Giant Software sought to ease that quandary with the debut of Red Giant TV. The monthly web show offers free tips and tutorials for users of the company's well-regarded software — such as Magic Bullet, Knoll Light Factory, and Trapcode — and how they might be used in combination with the tools built-in to Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, and other apps.
