Bjork Releases Latest VR Music Video Using Motion Capture

4/04/2017 8:45 PM Eastern
Bjork has released the latest in a string of VR music videos from her album Vulnicara online. This 2D YouTube cut of the VR video, which premiered at the 2016 Airwaves Festival, presents a lit-up, motion captured Bjork dancing underwater.

"We wanted the surfaces to alter materials, emit light, and look interesting throughout the entire piece, as it was driven by the underlying motion-capture performance," Matt Chandler of London-based VFX studio Analog told Creators. "The dark, ominous atmosphere is dissolved as she literally grows into a light-charged entity surrounded by hypnotic fluid motions."

Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones directed the experience. Watch below and read more here.
