Tom Stoppard on Turning Stream-of-Consciousness Novels into the HBO Miniseries 'Parade's End'

The L.A. Times talks to screenwriter and playwright Tom Stoppard about adapting a series of rather obscure books from the 1920s into the HBO miniseries, Parade's End, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch.

Says Stoppard, "The problem was that I had to invent a lot...The novel is full of a lot of great things, but very often it consists of a character's thoughts."
