Default Motion 5: On export videos in dropzones appear as stills

I'm working with a project in motion 5.

I have a template where there are drop zones that I'm placing videos in. In the canvas they play normally and correctly.

On export as a quicktime file, the dropzones just display as a still.

I've tried switching around the export settings and render settings with no success.

Anyone had this problem in the past?

No, never had this problem. You need to describe the workflow in greater detail. What are the Composition settings? Is this a stock template? What's being dropped into the drop zone? I'm not sure I understand, "export as a quicktime file, the dropzones just display as a still." Does Motion apper to be exporting video of a proper duration? How exactly are you exporting the QT and what does it say is the duration? Can you playback inside of Motion from the drop zone? Anything else you can think of to describe step by step... BUT... before you do that. try trashing the Motion .plist file and try again.

It is a stock template from motionvfx.com

    This one actually: http://www.motionvfx.com/store,project_506,p953.html

The template has dropzones in which I have placed 24fps 1080p pro res 422 files. (in the example on their website it is where the coffee is).

In the canvas, the videos play as they should (they are about 4 second clips). The whole project is 15 seconds.

When I export the whole project as a fully rendered and complete ProRes 422 .mov file as my master, those videos in the dropzones do not properly play. Everything else in the project is fine but the dropzone appears as the last frame of each video instead of a moving image.

I've tried lots of the render and export settings to no avail.

OK, so did you trash the .plist?

Try deleting the drop zone clip. Replace it with your media and make a new drop zone.
