Default Final Cut Pro 6 Audio Problem

I have tried almost everything to remove an echo from the original sound track of talking heads. One sounds great (mic was in right place and record volumn good). The other was recorded with low volume and the mic was positioned farther away than #1. I found the filter to remove the hum when I increased the volumn, but still have a hollow sound. Is there another filter out there that I haven't tried?

You can not remove echo/reverb, only minimize it to a degree, depending on how bad it is. EQ is about the best way to work with it. Best practice is to simply utilized it and stylized your video to incorporate it so that it seems its supposed to be there.
