    Default Motion 5 upgrade problem

    Hi all

    I have just tried to upgrade Motion 5 to the new release and the friendly App Store has told me that I didn't buy my current version from the App Store and would I like to buy it again in the new configuration.

    This strikes me as a little odd as you can only buy it from the app store and my other computer that it is on as well was prompted by them to upgrade.

    Just in case it is happening to you as well - you are not alone.

    Apple knows about the update bug, I spoke to them a few hours after the updates were online. Move Motion and/or FCP X (which ever won't update correctly) to the Trash. Then open the App Store, go to the Purchased tab, click "Install" for that app. You don't need to pay for it again, that's just a waste of money.
