Free DV Expo 2012 Event: Documentary Production Master Class with David Vassar, September 19

Join documentary filmmaker David Vassar and his editor Christian White tomorrow at DV Expo for an interactive, conversational class on the challenges and rewards of producing nature documentary projects. This free event is taking place at the Presentation Theater from 2:15 - 3:00 PM.

Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning David Vassar is a film and television writer, director and producer with more than 30 years of industry experience. His most recent film, California Forever, which he wrote, directed and produced with Sally Kaplan and which was edited by Christian White, is a two-part PBS television special that tells the story of California’s magnificent state parks from 1864 to the present. David and Christian will review their experiences capturing and editing footage from Yosemite to the Anza Borrego desert.
