Project Seeks to Capture Long Term Time-Lapse of the Platte River Using 45 DSLRs

Photographer Michael Forsberg and NET Television's Michael Farrell have teamed up for a long-term time-lapse project that will document the ebb and flow of the Platte River. Forty-five cameras set up at different locations along the river will take one photo for every daylight hour of each day.

Gizmodo gives the CineSkates "skateboard" dolly 3.5 out of 5 stars. They write, "Super portable, light-weight, and fun to use. And cheap! You can get some really nice shots for not a lot of money (relatively speaking)...[but] the surfaces you can use it on are extremely limited. Hardwood floor, polished concrete, or smooth counter/tabletop will work. Not much else."

RED Proposes Camera Shoot-Out on June 4th

RED CEO Jim Jannard has invited every camera company to come down to RED's studios for a camera shootout on June 4th. As SlashGear explains. "Jannard lays out the rules as such: companies can bring whatever camera they please, plus a team of techs to oversee the testing. They can also post-process their footage however they want. Jannard says that footage will be screened in both 2K and 4K using digital projectors across several screen sizes, including 10, 20, and 40-feet.
