Viewers Weigh In on the Next Generation of HDTV

In keeping with the grand tradition of using the Olympics as a testing ground for revolutionary new television technology (as it had been done previously for color TV, HD and more), the BBC and NHK have provided public viewing spots for select viewers to see this year's games broadcast in unprecedented 8K.

And as the BBC reports, many viewers were simply amazed. Says one, ""Amazing. You really do feel like you're in the stadium, in the atmosphere."
