ICG Magazine talks to DP John Schwartzman and director Marc Webb about their groundbreaking work in the 3D superhero reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man. From the article, "Cinematographer John Schwartzman, ASC worked with a camera system – RED Epic – that was barely beyond prototype stage, with no frame lines or remote on-off switch for one-third of the 3-month shoot. In the DP’s corner (literally) were RED’s technicians (present on the set throughout) diligently creating hundreds of iterations of their software, in real-time, to adapt to the show’s needs."
