Addressing that market, Atto recently released a new family of SAS/SATA host bus adapters rated at a top (theoretical) throughput of 6Gbps. Of the five devices in the ExpressSAS lineup—H608, H680, H644, H60F, and H6F0—two really push the technology to new heights. The ExpressSAS H60F and H6F0 feature two independent controllers which allow them to support up to 512 physical devices, as well as 16 independent lanes of 600MBps connectivity for an aggregate throughput of up to an astonishing 19.2GBps full duplex.
