Editors' Lounge Fully Charged in 2013 with TouchEdit for iPad, Boris FX and Blackmagic Design
The Editors’ Lounge returns in 2013 with an exciting line-up of new product demonstrations and special guests. A trusted source for the latest in new technology for the post-production professional, the Editors’ Lounge gives the opportunity to learn new skills hands-on while networking with other industry peers. The event will be held on Friday, January 25th at AlphaDogs Post Production 1612 W. Olive Ave, Suite 200, Burbank, CA 91506 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Senior Product Marketing Manager Kevan O'Brien will be demonstrating Boris Continuum Complete Version 8, a comprehensive set of plug-ins that has over 200 visual effects filters with 3D particle effects. Throughout the evening attendees will get a close up look at the new flicker reduction and videoscope tools, OpenGL hardware acceleration, 32-bit float support, deeper After Effects integration, and enhanced lens flares, particles, glows, and lights, all of which headline the new Version 8 release.
Blackmagic Design will also be on hand showing off the latest Teranex 2D technology. The Teranex 2D is a single processor model that offers all conversions in 4:2:2 quality in a single channel. Virtually any type of video format can be converted into a high quality deliverable that is indistinguishable from the original master. Special guest Dan Lebental, A.C.E, will unveil TouchEdit, the first professional non-linear video editing system for the i-Pad. Lebental has edited feature films for more than 20 years and is best known for working with Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Cowboys & Aliens) TouchEdit was developed by Lebental to give editors the freedom to edit from anywhere. This new “edit bay” allows editors to cut video by using finger touch commands on tactile filmstrips, bringing the spirit of classical filmmaking together with cutting-edge digital editing capabilities. Complete with timecode and 8 tracks of stereo, the editor of the 21st Century can now edit on the road, on the set, or even on the couch! Lebental will be giving a full demonstration on how this new mobile application works with the traditional edit bay.
