'The Descendants,' 'The Artist' Win Top ACE Eddie Awards

This weekend, The Descendants won the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic) while The Artist picked up the top honors in the Comedy or Musical category. The Eddies are considered one of the best predictors of the Oscar Best Picture race, with 18 of the past 20 years' winners going on to pick up the Academy's top prize. Thus far, Chicago has been the only Best Picture winner to win an Eddie in the Comedy or Musical category -- a feat The Artist may be repeating come this Sunday.
